Have this insert installed by an avionics shop if you do
not have all the proper tools, are not a qualified
technician or are not sure you are capable of doing this
job. |

If your faceplate needs painting, remove it from the
radio. Otherwise, go to #8.

Tape the back from any paint over spray. Do not tape the
inside lip area as this has to be painted. |

Fill any dents with a plastic filler or similar material. |
| 5. |
Lightly sand with a fine grit sandpaper for good paint
adhesion. |

Paint the faceplate with a quality paint such as Krylon's
1613 SemiŠ Flat Black paint. If you want a silver border around
the outer rim use a Testors' silver paint stick. They are
found in most hobby stores. |

Remove the protective tape. |
| 8. |
Remove the double face tape backing from the new insert. |
| 9. |
Place the new inserts onto faceplate. Reinstall faceplate
and knobs onto the radio. |
| 10. |
If there is no lens in front of the
identification code numbers, you can clean them up by applying some
rubbing alcohol or glass cleaner on a cotton swab and
lightly rubbing the digits until clean. |

Tell all your aircraft buddies about Aircraft Engravers and place the enclosed sticker on the metal case for future
reference. |
